Louis Bignami has fished for 50 years and written several
thousand articles and columns about food, fishing, travel and the
outdoors full-time since 1969. His more than 35 books include
Stories Behind Record Fish, Live Bait Tactics, Country Towns of
Northern California and a couple of dozen others. He's sold
several thousand photos, articles and columns to most US and many
offshore markets. This followed a career which included field
archeology, banking and law. He has taught writing at several
California and Idaho colleges and for the Writer's Digest School
and given writing seminars for a variety of markets.
A native Californian, he now lives in Moscow, Idaho "a quiet college town half way between the 20 pound B-run steelhead in the Clearwater River and the 20 pound northern pike and landlocked salmon in Lake Coeur d'Alene." Louis is a primary editor for FineTravel Magazine, writes travel and food columns for Stratos and Gulf Coast Fisherman and others. He is a member of the Outdoor Writers of America, Author's Guild, International Food, Wine and Travel Writer's Association and has won writing and photo awards. |
